On September 15, Hitachi Elevator held its 2022 "The Road to the Future" Innovation Sharing Meeting in Hefei, capital of Anhui province in central China. The event brought together industry partners and professionals to explore how the elevator maker can maintain its industry leadership through the updating of platforms, products and services, empowering the vertical transport sector to contribute to the next stage of modern urbanization.
The Road to the Future: Reaching a New Climax of Development
Hitachi Elevator president Jia Yuhui delivered a keynote speech at the conference, reviewing the company's performance in the past year and providing an outlook for the future. In 2021, the elevator maker continued to maintain a leading position in market share and achieved a new record with over 120,000 elevators contracted, produced, shipped and installed, while revenue reached a new high of more than 27 billion yuan. In the first eight months of 2022, the firm continued its strong performance.
Looking ahead, Hitachi Elevator is on track to enhance its market dominance based on big data platforms, while developing an open, agile and environmentally-responsible cooperation model for partners to create a shared future.
Service Innovation and Upgrading Serving as the New Business Momentum
Li Feng, general manager of the Business Division at Hitachi Elevator, shared three major service upgrade initiatives: accelerating product updates to enhance the firm's core competitiveness, developing a leading business support platform to improve the efficiency of the overall marketing network, as well as optimizing processes to provide services in a more efficient manner.
"Changes present new challenges and opportunities," Mr. Li noted, "We need to be well positioned to embrace both of them."
Injecting Vitality into the Services Sector to Build a New Future
Hitachi Elevator is looking forward to establishing a connected renovation community with more partners as the elevator renovation market continues to grow.
Xu Junjie, general manager of Engineering Division at Hitachi Elevator, said, "We have strengthened the competitiveness of our renovation products and services, demonstrating our flexible and customized retrofitting capabilities in terms of design solutions, construction cycle and elevator features." Last year, Hitachi Elevator successfully upgraded several commercial, residential and public infrastructure projects, including Beijing Wangfu Hotel, Guangzhou Metro Line 1, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center and Shanghai Sun City Garden.
Industry Empowerment Opens a New Chapter of Digital Marketing
With deep insights into higher market expectations on brand experience, Hitachi Elevator launched a new All Day + Digital Brand Marketing Plan, which was built upon the existing intelligent platform to enhance its service support capabilities, including the availability of multiple channel- and client-side digitally-enabled platforms, with the aim of building a closer link with customers.
Huang Dongwen, general manager of Strategic Planning Division at Hitachi Elevator, said, "We are making efforts to provide our customers with a full range of convenient and efficient solutions, in a move to improve their service experience and brand satisfaction, while allowing us to stand out in the digital era."
Despite upheaval in the domestic market, the elevator maker continued to maintain robust growth in recent years. Hitachi Elevator vice president Liang Yaoqiang thanked the partners for their unremitting efforts and strong support at the appreciation dinner and expressed his desire to continue working together to create a shared future.
With the arrival of a new era of vertical transportation, Hitachi Elevator will join hands with its partners to develop a more ambitious business blueprint and continue to create more value for the people who ride in the conveyances, the buildings that house them and society in general.
