Indonesia LIFT＆ESCALATOR Expo took place at Jakarta International Expo between July 11 and 13. Through physical models and presentations, HITACHI Elevator displays the latest products and technologies including Hitachi World's highest-speed elevator, DFRS (destination floor reservation system) and TX escalator.

As the biggest biennial trade fair in the Indonesian elevator industry, Indonesia LIFTESCALATOR Expo is held together with Indonesian Building Electromechanical Expo, Indonesian HVACR and Energy Efficiency Expo and Facilities Management Expo. Themed on building transportation, the Expo has exhibited a full range of products, technologies and service systems for construction and transportation, and electrical and energy efficiency solutions for construction machinery.

At the Expo, an eye-catching product is the elevator with the world's highest speed of 1,260 meters/minute, which is  developed by HITACHI for CTF Finance Centre *1, allowing passengers to ascend from floor 1 to floor 95 in only 43 seconds. While refreshing the speed of the world's ultra-high-speed elevator, HITACHI Elevator demonstrates a technical giant's leading strength.

Also, HITACHI Elevator demonstrated its Group Management System and DFRS (destination floor reservation system), through which passengers would know in advance which elevator to take and reach the destination floor within the shortest time, thus diverting the transportation volume, improving efficiency and reducing energy consumption. This technology, based on the "passenger flow analysis" which is used for statistics and prediction on passenger flow, makes full use of information such as elevator operation data, passenger movement data, building equipment data and building layout data gathered by HITACHI in the past 100 years of elevator business and the transportation solution perfectly implemented by AI.

HITACHI has clearly stated in the "2018 Mid-term Business Plan" that it will strive to become an "innovative partner in the IoT era", use digital technology flexibly to expand its social innovation business globally and increase the sales ratio outside Japan up to 55% in 2018. In 2017, HITACHI launched the globally oriented TX escalator that caters to the global marketplace while meeting Chinese and European standards.

At present, HITACHI Elevator is actively exploring the markets of Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East. In this area, it has won locally influential projects including RF Princess Bay in Malaysia, The Bridge complex in Cambodia, Landmark Hotel in Laos, VERDE II premium apartment in Indonesia and the Dragon Resort.
